Beverage Boutique
Beverage Boutique
A founder's vision existed only in their head. No language for it. No form. No identity. The work was to read that vision clearly, give it shape, and build a world around it.
SERVICES
BRAND DIRECTION, IDENTITY, SPATIAL DIRECTION

THE MOMENT
Beverage Boutique was entering the market with a concept that didn't yet exist in Ruislip. Not a traditional off-licence. Not a bar. Something in between and beyond both. A premium retail space for exceptional drinks, a private cocktail lounge, a venue for tastings and events, a destination with a quality food offer. Industrial in tone. Black and wood. Upmarket without being cold. The founders knew exactly what they wanted to feel. They had no way to articulate it yet.
THE REAL PROBLEM
The vision was ambitious and coherent in the minds of the founders. But a vision that lives only in someone's head cannot be built, branded, or experienced by anyone else. Before a single design decision could be made, the thinking needed to come first. What was this business actually trying to be? Who was it for? What should it feel like to walk in for the first time and come back a second time? How would the retail space, the lounge, and the event offer coexist without one undermining the other? These were not design questions. They were direction questions. The answers shaped everything that followed.
THE DIRECTION
Once the thinking was clear, the space could be designed around it. The industrial aesthetic, black and rich wood tones, was not a style choice. It was the physical expression of the brand's positioning. Premium without pretension. Confident without being exclusive. Every decision connected back to the same question: does this serve the experience we're creating? The flow between retail and lounge. The balance of visible stock and hidden storage. The lighting that shifted the atmosphere between day and evening. The geometry of the space itself. A brand identity was developed in parallel, not after. The logo and visual language emerged from the same thinking that shaped the space. Everything connected because it started from the same place.

A space and a brand that came from the same thinking. Neither could have existed without the other.
WHAT CHANGED
Beverage Boutique opened as the thing it was always meant to be. Not a compromise between retail and hospitality but a considered synthesis of both. A space with a clear identity, a coherent atmosphere, and a brand that matched the ambition of the concept from the moment someone walked through the door. The founders had a vision they couldn't articulate. They left with a world they could show anyone.

IN THEIR WORDS
"Studio Arcana understood what we were trying to build before we had the words for it. The space and the brand came out as one thing. That was exactly what we needed."
– Haps Dhand, Founder of Beverage Boutique
